Confused by myriad cloud offerings, or lost on what is best and cost-effective AWS architecture?

We are here to help. We work with you to assess your applications, network and storage needs, as well as security and auditing requirements and design a bespoke solution to take full advantage of AWS infrastructure. We will even operate, monitor, support it on ongoing basis.

Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)

AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and associated services let you run one, five or a thousand compute instances - think of them as physical servers - with various specifications in the cloud. The instances vary in capacity from A1 instances if you have a small scale application to powerful high-CPU and high-memory instances to run large scale applications. Key features which make EC2 an attractive choice are:

  • Inexpensive: When compared to operating your own servers on dedicated hardware
  • Full Control: You have full control on the instances, including OS, network configuration, firewall rules, storage, and of course your own applications
  • Clustering: Run your apps on multiple instances behind your own virtual cluster
  • Scalable: Dynamically add/remove instances from clusters to cater for demand fluctuation
  • Distributed: Launch your applications in any of AWS regions/availability zones, or use AWS CloudFront to distribute content to users from their local distribution node
  • Secure: All AWS instances run inside your own Virtual Private Cloud, so you don't have to worry about having to use a shared network subnet

Besides EC2, AWS offers a whole range of cloud services which can be utilised along with your EC2 instances, or in individual capacity, to increase operational efficiency and reduce cost.

Managed Relational Database Service (RDS)

Offload the cost and effort of operating a relational database to Amazon RDS, which makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale the database. It is cost-efficient and can be run in a cluster to achieve extremely high availability.

RDS supports MySQL, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server database engines, so you can run what your application is designed with. There usually is no need to change any code to move your applications to AWS RDS.

AWS Cloud Storage

Amazon Web Services offers a complete set of cloud storage services for archiving. You can choose Amazon Glacier for affordable, non-time sensitive cloud storage, or Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for faster storage, depending on your needs. With AWS Storage Gateway and our solution provider ecosystem, you can build a comprehensive, storage solution.

Application Services

Various other application services can also be made available to your applications in AWS cloud for enhanced functionality and low cost operation. For example:

Simple Queue Service (SQS):

Fast, reliable and fully managed messaging services to use with your distributed applications.

Simple Notification Service (SNS):

Generate and send push notifications to smart devices like iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire. Or to other distributed services.

Simple Email Service (SES):

Managed email distribution services for large scale applications.

Amazon Route 53:

Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable cloud Domain Name System (DNS web service. It is designed to give developers and businesses an extremely reliable and cost effective way to route end users to Internet applications.

Amazon Lambda:

AWS Lambda lets you run code without provisioning or managing servers. You pay only for the compute time you consume. With Lambda, you can run code for virtually any type of application or backend service - all with zero administration.

These are just a few of the most popular AWS offerings. There are literally 100+ other services which can make running and managing your applications in cloud a breeze.
